  35. : UART. You probably just have 8250 UART, which was supplied with
  36. : old-PCs. They don't have a buffer, and tend to slow down transfer
  37. : rates. The serial port, can't keep up with the large amount of data
  38. : transfered by the modem, and the modem have to keep repeating the
  39. : transfer-operation over and over again..
